gentlemen,

after 9 months of sweat and toil by myself and boat partner frank, we are putting it in the water today. a reconditioned '65 sakonnet. improvements have included a rebuilding of the 1975 thorobred trailer. outfitted with stoltz rollers, new bunks, winch, tires, hubs, lights, coupler, chains.

the boat. rebuilding of the console and pilot seat. stained and finished with sikkens. a pair of mahogany locking rod boxes. a custom mahogony stern seat/cast platform. a 1994 suzuki dt90 outboard. a new morse mt3 controller. new teleflex nfb steering. new 13 gallon tempo fuel tank and line. a new ritchie explorer compass. a new oem 3-piece rubrail in all black. new stickers from janice for the boat and trailer.

the boat had many many minor and one major gel-coat repair. the entire boat was given a very light coat of new gel-coat. $68 bucks a quart. nuff said.

but, i really want to thank jim for this opportunity to have done something like this. this knowledge of the reconditioning was gained soley through this site and its members. many thanks to the participants of the board. incredible. thanks for the return of the e-mails.

this is my first boat. i figured i'd try and get it right the first time.

thanks again.

Sure would love to see some pictures...
Especially the rear seat-cast platform. I'm trying to do something similar and would love to see what you have done.

Hello!

Could you please tell me if the all black rubrail would fit a 13ft Classic Whaler hull. If so could give me a contact numberof the retailer?

Thanks
Jason
