I tried this forum once before, but in case I missed anyone..

I need help determining the height above the keel that a single OMC 2 Liter Sea Drive should be mounted. Any help or references would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Your previous posting on this subject http://continuouswave.com/ubb/Forum3/HTML/002203.html produced an offer of a great deal of original information for the Sea Drive. What happened to that resource?

I had asked for help finding an owners manual (just got one on eBay) and help with the installation. I received your suggestion on installation, which was "Don't"; an offer to buy two other Sea Drives; advice on whether to buy a Sea Drive; and the suggestion to call a dealer. Then, someone promised to send the information..but it wasn't shipped. I emailed the person making the offer but I guess they changed their mind because it never arrived and I don't want to be a bother to them.

So, I have my Sea Drive on a hoist in the barn with the boat backed-up to it, but lack input on the mounting height (which was not included in the manuals I bought).

I know that for an outboard the height would be set so the anti-cavitation plate is parallel with the keel, and that this height would be raised 1" for every foot of setback. But I just wanted to know if any experienced Sea Drive users could give me their input. Any info or relevant comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

I took two seadrives off my boat. So I am familiar with the large holes you will have to cut into your transome. Good luck and don't forget to decarb. I have extra parts for the 115 hsp.
