Where do I find the serial number on a 93 100hp Johnson?

Howdy Bocadrew.

There should be a plate riveted to the mounting clamp with all that data. If the plate is missing the engine may have been stolen in a state that titles engines.

You may find the serial number on the freeze plug on top of the block.

Red sky at night. . .
JB :)

I had the same problem a few months ago when I was trying to insure my whaler. The plate that JB talks about was a little worn and I couldn't read 2 of the places. It turns out that if you take the cowling off, looking at the top of the engine from outside the boat, there should be a metalic disk about the size of a quarter. YOur serial number will be on that too.

Happy hunting...
