Does anybody else experience the frustration I do when it comes to the angle of the instruments in the dash panels?

My arrangement, with a standard console, leaning post and the fact that I'm about 3' over the 3' tall that would be perfect for viewing them, I have a hell of a time seeing the instruments when we're underway.

Are there any aftermarket inserts that would adjust the angle of the instruments?

I called Sue at Twin Cities, she was unaware of anything that would work, but she said she'd keep an eye out. By the way she spent quite a lot of time on the phone with me, working thruogh this, all companies need such dedicated customer service people.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Badfish

Sounds like you have an '83-'85 Whaler, which was a redesigned console from 1982, but with the almost vertical instrument panels. They eased them back in 1986 to make them more viewable while standing. I doubt if there are many solutions to your problem. Might try raising the console 4".

dgp,
Thanks, for the tip, I had already come accross the web page via an earlier post by Bigshot but had not found the angled bezels. They look like they might just do the trick.

lhg,
Mine is an '89. I think with the positioning of the leaning post making it difficult to get much movement aft combined with the fact that I'm not as svelt(?) as I should be, I'd benefit from adding some upward angle on the bottom of the instruments.

This begs one more question. Would there be a resulting problem with water pooling on the face of the gauges? I have the factory (I believe) gauges.

Thanks again!
