Can anyone suggest a mounting location for a tilt/trim hydraulic power pack on a 17' whaler? Looks to me like the aft sidewall where the battery box usually goes is the best place.
This is in reguards to an older Merc in-line 6 cyl with power tilt/trim.

I would contact DFMcIntyre about this. He has had several hulls over the past 25 or so years and all were powered by Merc inline 6 engines The rigger of the boats was an original BW dealer in Port Huron Mi. Sorry but the name of the dealer escapes me at this time. I think it was Boyle marine.

Hope this helps, I know he (DF) had a trick setup as he is a stickler for detail!!! You can find his E mail address here on the forum.
