I have the rear casting deck option on my montauk with the ski pylon. Kinda cool. Is there some sort of pump setup i should have for the baitwell? I have a weird looking switch box down at the stern on the port side and a funny looking connector on the deck on the starboard side like a car taillight socket. wiring gone. Does anyone have any ideas as to what sort of stuff came with the deck? is there a pump setup idea out there? I assume it would circulate the water to keep bait alive. The deck had a downrigger mount on it and i just got one for it at a yardsale. It's manual but maybe the socket was for an electric one? It's right in front of the mount. The livewell has
a drain that runs out the port side of the stern. Seems like optional equipment, not dealer installed. Does anyone else have this optional deck?

Ray, you will need a through-hull pump (mount through transom on oposite side as drain.. ie Stbd) and route hose to top of live well...you will have to drill a hold for this about one inch below top of live well. Then you will need another hole in well (about 1 1/2" below top of well) for an overflow... route to splash well... that should do it! I just did this on a custom 17 and it works great... I used a Rule brand pump... Good luck.. Clark.. Spruce Creek Navy

They also offered a swival seat option that fit in the pylon hole for that csting deck. Great seat and built so that a person can sit on it while you are underway. I bought a recirculating system from Bass Pro that was meant for use in a cooler suction cups unto side of baitwell that I used for bait while perching and it was great. The seats were built by Sprigfield and they make a forward swival seat that mounts to the back of the anchor locker that is great for fishing lets you use the forward area as a casting deck with a great place to sit. My buddies just love those seats. Keeps their grimy paws off the helm.
