I plan to purchase a VHF radio/mount/antenna in next little while. (Does anyone still buy/use these given widespread use of cell phones? I always thought cell phones were a good way to call someone who was on land...but less helpful when I wanted to reach someone on the water.) Where is best place to mount 8 ft fiberglass antenna? I have a bimini and dont want antenna to interfere with use of bimini. Perhaps best spot to mount antenna would be starboard rail. Other ideas? Thanks, Kevin

A quality VHF Marine radio installation on your boat is probably your best piece of safety equipment if you get in a distress situation.

Nice picture of the mount. Where does the cables go as not to cross the floor on its way to the transceiver?
