How do you remove these and replace them? All this talk about water in foam I am thinking about replacing all of them in my 72 Whaler restoration project here.

I suggest strongly looking at teflon or plastic thru-hulls with wide flanges to get a wonderful seal for the drains you want to keep. Look in any marine store for sail boat gear etc. Some of the thru-hulls for speed transducers etc are wonderful... a little expensive but these have wonderful plugs. A good used marine shop mayhave some old dead units that you can engineer in.

And then simply glass over the ones you don't want or need.
