I already have the 11 gallon shower aboard, but now Im interested in adding hot water.
Has to be a way to run lines to the motor.
Mine is saltwater cooled.
Any ideas?

You would need a heat exchanger. Easier to get a solar shower for $8 and leave it in the sun. Get so hot it will scald you.

That just another thing to hang out that rattles.
But what if you mix that with the 11 gal reservoir "sounds french;)"
There are saftey reasons to have a hot water shower.
Im listening.....

I knew a fisherman here in Gloucester,Ma. He had a 85' trawler and for hot water he had about 350' of coiled-up black garden hose on the top of his pilot house with a hot water storage tank strapped to the side of it! I installed a new VHF antenna at the time and asked him "What's all this hose for?" He explained: "For the past 10 years with this set-up,I've never run out of hot water!" Now if you want to try this, get a bigga-boat!

If your water tank is near the engine, you could tap into the engine tubing that pumps the visible water stream from your engine. Use thin tubing and exit the engine along with the other control cables. Run the tubing thru your water tank with several loops and then exit to the engine water stream outlet. It will take some running to heat the water and its a hokey solution - Might be best to take more cold showers.

Mebbe anudder goofy idea but mebbe some genius, too: We gots a cute li'l two-gallon RUUD brand hot water heater feedin' da camp trailer zink. Runs on 120V but don't seem to eat much watts. Could you wire a li'l inverter off yer trollin' batt'ries to run da tank. Mebbe switch it so's you can turn it on only while runnin' the engines t'keep everthin' charged. Not sure where to mount da tank in yer rig, but she's small. Would provide enough hot water t'take a good spit bath or mebbe berl some surgical implements if yer gonna deliver a baby er sumpin' on board (Marcus Welby woulda had dis rig on HIS Whaler, if he had one). Otherwise, mebbe you should tink about doin' yer "Three S'es" in da mornin' BEFORE you go fishin'. Personally, Ah like da 350 foot o'black hose idear. Dat's mah kind'a class.

I used about 50 feet of one inch on my last sailboat and have to be careful... it got too hot. It out did all types of solar showers that weekend people would bring on board.

A few wraps around the boat and you'll have lots of water for the women folk.
