How long do the Seastar Hydraulic Cables need to be for a 1985 Outrage 18? Are they length for Sidemount as Frontmount cylinder?

Thanks, Todd

You will need the 18' hoses. I did this conversion on mine, and that is what I used. They fit perfectly, and this is what you should use for a single engine front mount system, or a twin engine side mount cylinder, with cylinder mounted between engines.

I would recommend you get the Sea Star I helm. You will also need their adaptor plate, since your prior mechanical steering required a 4" cut out, and the new hydraulic requires a 3". Same SS wheel can be used.

If you're buying all this stuff new, call Shoreway Marine, 800-443-5408. They have best pricing on Teleflex steering items.

It's going to feel like a new boat!
