Aloha! I'm trying to mount a davit and some side mount rod holders on a 15'Dauntless but I don't know how to proceed. I don't want to drill into the boat it self so I was thinking of fiberglassing a hardwood/thick plywood block to the inside and then screwing the mount into that with a stainless steel plate to spread the load. What do you think? The force on the holder/davit would be less than 100 lbs. Would that rip out the fiberglassed block? How do you mount items to your Whalers? I don't want to open any holes in the boat for fear of water intrusion. Would this work? Thanks in advance for any info/advice Shinchan
