It's okay as long as it's a "shag" rug.

I've seen it done more than once. It's absoluetly awful and should be outlawed.

I'm with Tom.

A great place to collect and ferment all types of pollution.

Also, every one I have seen was uglier than Lena the Hyena. If you are too young to remember Lena, she was too ugly to use in horror pics.

Options:

1. Don't worry about it. Whalers work for
a living, and so get a few scars and wrinkles.

2. DriDek. Not cheap, but works really well.
But it's difficult to install when cold, so
you might want to wait until spring.

Holes in the floor? If they aren't fixed, fix them.

Use some flexible silicone to make a small female mould of the non-skid pattern. Then use that to put a nonskid pattern on your repairs.

I have seen this done so well that the repair became invisible. Mine aren't that good, but you have to look for them.

If you want a rug you should own a Sea Ray.But I do have a fix for your Whaler.Try some small pieces of indoor out door carpet[use as a throw rug].I use it on the cockpit floor of my Whaler when I have the dogs on board.JB advise is a good thing to do to your floor also.Happy Whalering.
