After a few times removing the cushions from the cooler, the snaps pull out of the cooler, with the holes being stripped out.
Also the latch and hinge screw strip out too.
Any suggestions to keep them strong and secure?

I would fill the holes with white Marine-Tex, packing it in, and re-drill. I have found that in salt water/salt air, cushion snaps tend to freeze up. When removing, if they don't EASILY release, use a thin bladed screw driver to break the snap loose, with a simple twist of the blade. That way you won't pull out the studs. You can also lubricate the snaps with a touch of Vaseline.

I would also consider using Pop Rivets to rivet the snaps in. Igloo uses rivets on their snaps.. They don't seem to pull out as easily as the screws although I have seen some that have.

How can you rivet to a thin plastic igloo cooler lid?

How much marine tex? Should I scrap foam out and add mt?

Igloo uses Pop-Rivets on all of their Marine Coolers. Check it out.... I just ordered a new 94 qt. & 72 qt. Igloo Marine cooler and they both came with snap studs that were Pop-Riveted to the lid.
I believe they put the snaps on just in case you want to add their cooler cushion seat.

Some Pop-Rivets the right size and a Pop-Rivet Gun is all you need.

I doubt Marinetex will work. Nothing will stick to polyethylene. Well, maybe 5200!
