Roscoe	posted 01-22-2003 02:12 AM ET (US)         My friend asked me what finish or Plating I wanted to restore my Whaler stern light brackets and railing brackets with? Nickel,chrome ,alloy....etc . Does anyone know the Original finish or plating material.

dreid	posted 01-22-2003 11:28 AM ET (US)             The re-plater I've used sold me on "nickle chrome" as the way to go for marine use. Have some pieces with over seven years in the salt with no problems so far.
