My friend asked me what finish or Plating I wanted to restore my Whaler stern light brackets and railing brackets with? Nickel, chrome ,alloy....etc . Does anyone know the Original finish or plating material.

Polished chrome. Pretty standard for marine hardware.

The re-plater I've used sold me on "nickle chrome" as the way to go for marine use. Have some pieces with over seven years in the salt with no problems so far.

this of course is not related to the topic at hand but I need some info. I have a 74' 16'7 and need specs for trolling motor and re-modeling.
