I've seen several references on this board for the need to set fasteners into the wood that Whaler has embedded into the boat's structure or the fasteners will strip and pull out of the foam and fiberglass. The resultng short term damage being the unfastening of the device and the long term damage being a potential entry point for water to compromise the foam. So, if you don't have wood in the area in question - what else can you do ? Can you fasten with epoxy and/or fiberglass ? What has worked for others ? Any comments would be greatly appreciated. |

Has anyone used 3M product known as 5200 adhesive to bond fixtures to Whaler interior fiberglass? Success? |
