mustang7nh	posted 03-15-2003 02:53 PM ET (US)         I have an 88 OR20 which needs a new cable. A guy quoted me 200 for "newman" cable with helm. But another 3 or 4 hours labor to install, guessing a $500 total bill. Is this high and should I attempt to do it myself? If so, any ideas how long of a cable I need to purchase and where? Thanks in advance.
Steve Leone	posted 03-16-2003 01:46 AM ET (US)             You can buy a whole kit for about $149.00. Comes with everything except for the steering wheel. Very straight foward to install. Your previous cable may have the length imprinted on the jacket near the cable end at the motor side. If not you can measure it with a tape measure. Teleflex is your best bet. Steve
