A current thread in the Post-Classics forum discusses the newest style RPS and says it has four separate locking positions for the seat back, and that is locks very securely as a leaning post even in big waves. My question is whether there is an accepted way to set up a locking arrangement on the older style RPS (80's, early 90's). One of my first notes in using my '93 OR was that the seat wouldn't stay in forward position out in Boston Harbor on a moderately rough day last fall. I have it apart and in my cellar for the winter, and didn't see anything that suggested it was for locking the position.
