Hi,
I've read some posts about repairing a gas/fuel tank with Marine-Tex. My tank had to be removed due to leaking,I found a few small holes in it maybe the diameter of a pen. There was also a lot of pitting around the tank. Could this tank be repaired using Marine-Tex and then Fiberglassed??? Has anyone out there done this type of repair,if so how did it come and how long can I expect to have this last?

When it comes to the fuel tank, it's probably better to spend the extra $ and avoid the headache of having another problem in a year or three. Someone recently listed the phone # for Florida Marine Tanks (305)620-9030. They were the OEM supplier for the 25' we have behind the office. I'm sure they can make you another tank, and send it up the coast on the back of a truck...

The pitting I worry about, is the pitting on the inside of the tank, where I can't see...
