Can someone urgently advise me what the dims should be for a leaning post on a 17 Mauntauk?

I am about to start a restoration and need to order the leaning post but am not near the boat to measure !

Many thanks

Van Whaler, Are you putting in an aftermarket leaning post? I can tell you that the popular RPS made of teak often found on the montauk is 35 inches wide. The pivot rails that attach it to the seat frames extend beyond the teak portion by ~1.5 inches each side so the overall width is ~38 inches. Regards, Kurt
