I have a 1978 20' Outrage. The wooden hatch covers on the forward deck area are shot. I have seen fiberglass covers but don't know if they are available commercially or if they have been homemade. Any help would be appreciated.

Try one-inch pvc sheet. More than strong enough for that size of span. You can radius the edges with a router and prime/paint to match. Many custom boat builders are using it for rod racks, small hatch covers and the such. Once painted it looks like molded fiberglass. Good Luck

I have the same boat and have ordered "Starboard" sections. They have a sim-nonskid texture, but you can't paint them. Rolf
