I am about to tackle a removal of a 1 piece and putting on a three piece, can someone tell me if this is a screw in job or if adhesive is involved. Also the third piece, where does it go ?above or below? 1968 13'6" sport

There is a whole thing here about rubrail installs. The 3 piece is riveted on. You can use screws but I liked the supplied rivets better. The flimsy piece goes on top like your original is. The heavy white piece goes over it, one that is installed the black insert is put in. Easy job, but get a rivet gun and a couple friends.

I put the three piece unit on my 13' before I found this site. I used screws and it was fine and not that hard. It was kinda funny, the guy I bought the boat from had purchased the rub rail but not installed it, so it was just in a box in the boat. I had to go find another boat to see how it was supposed to fit together.
