It is virutally indestinguishable from Honduran Mahogany, has the same properties, and is about $1.50/bf cheaper. Can be found at many hardwood suppliers, or ordered from http://www.emersonhardwood.com/cchw/default.asp . Brian
lhg	posted 04-04-2003 02:36 PM ET (US)          BW always said they used Phillipine Mahogany, both solid and in marine plywood versions, but recently there has been some discussion that this may be a name no longer used by the lumber industry.

Then I had heard this hunduran mahogany as well now turns out ther is another type I hear for the first time that being this khaya. you guys give great leads now I know where to start looking thank you. wayne
