Wayne, Honduran Mahogany, I found some at a millworks place in Brunswick GA. Might want to take the boat by for a better match. Jim |

I have found Khaya to be a pretty good match. It is virutally indestinguishable from Honduran Mahogany, has the same properties, and is about $1.50/bf cheaper. Can be found at many hardwood suppliers, or ordered from http://www.emersonhardwood.com/cchw/default.asp . Brian |

BW always said they used Phillipine Mahogany, both solid and in marine plywood versions, but recently there has been some discussion that this may be a name no longer used by the lumber industry. |

I've found the best solid wood match is Dark Red Meranti. Not cheap - but beautiful! Great selection & quality is Edensaw Woods in Port Townsend, WA. 360-385-7878 |
