I recently purchased a 1987 Outrage 20' CC. I am about to take some of the wood off (i.e. the doors and wood at the base of the console).

I know that when I refinished my 1981 15' foot last year (which turned out incredible thanks to you all's input) the wood was mahogany. However, last year (and I can't find the post) I remember some discussion that later 80's Outrages didn't all use mahoganay. Would anyone know what type of wood is on a 1987 Outrage 20' CC? If indeed it is teak, is the staining/sealing process much different than the mohogany? Thanks in advance for any help.

Your wood is indeed teak, and the traditional finish is simply oiled with a good quality teak oil. Others choose to varnish, although I don't think stain is common. This is one of the most popular topics on the forum, and if you go to the ContinuousWave search engine, you can find everything you need to know.
