Where should I locate the terminal block for all the wiring on a sport 13 ?
Should it be installed under the console ?

Dave,

I installed mine under the console and it worked out quite well out of the weather. BoatUS sells small terminal blocks with fuses that have a plastic cover. Feed the fuse panel with a 20amp feeder circuit directly to the battery and make sure you install a main fuse close to the battery.

Dave, When I did mine a couple months ago I put the block under the consol and it is fine under there. Then I had an idea that I may just modify mine...what about putting the wiring block on a piece of wood or starboard that is hinged on the bottom? Then if you need to add a wire or change one out you could release the top and hinge it down to work on it then fold it back up when done... would be very convenient....Dave

Fuse blocks are old school. Go with breakers. They are simple to install and easy to wire. Plus they withstand corrosion alot better because they are sealed. If you insist on a fuse block buy a 4,6,8, or 12 gang block (depending upon you`re needs). Perko makes one that has a seperate ground bar and seperate hot bar. This is handy. Most pre-made fuse panels are wired through +. I like to run my swiches on the - or ground side. This eliminates alot of "hot" wire under the dash or console. Most fuse blocks will verdigris over time unless you spray them with a corrosion inhibitor once in awhile. Steve

I have put mine on my port door. I really don't use my port door often but it is important that you put it where you can get easy access to it!
