My Outrage 17 is showing a small pattern of stress cracks in its interior gelcoat. The pattern in on the port side midway between the gunwale and the area where the bow locker meets the side of the boat. The cracks look like a series of small concentric "c's) and are no larger in diameter than a quarter.

Should I be concerned? The boat is a 97, but with less than 100 hours on it (really).

If there is only one location for the cracks, there is no cause for concern. The cracks are probably caused either by some sort of impact, or air bubbles in the gelcoat. Since there is more than one crack it is more likely to be air bubbles.
