resporing a 17' montauk. The bow light wire is threaded through the rub rail, but what happens to it once it comes out through the inside of the hull near the stern. How is the stern light connected to power. When I bought the boat, the wire was exposed, not acually hooked to anything (from the rub rail) In other words, what is the schematic. How are the lights supposed to be looked up.

On my 1988 Newtauk the bow light wire is in the hull. On the starboard side under the gunnel the wire enters the hull through a hole drilled into the wall and comes up through the deck on the bow. I have the wiring running through the CC down the deck gunnel and out the bilge. I assume the wire was molded into the hull.

I have seen montauks that have had the wire in the rub rail whick I assume was done after market when the wire in the hull failed.

Both the bow and stern light negitives terminate at the circuit breaker buss near the stern. If I an not mistaken the positives go through the gunnel tunnel to the three way switch at the console.
I just completed rewiring/dressing all wiring in the Montauk.
