I have a 1989 18' Outrage. I recently try to have it fixed, but the marina (to remain nameless) I took it to could not figure it out.

Secondly, they forgot to tighten the aluminum housing around the light, so needless to say the first wave I hit sent the housing into the Ocean. Gone!

1. Any tips on fixing the bow lights with this model. I heard that they are molded into the hull??

2. Anyone know where I can order a replacement bow light (i.e. aluminum housing)?

Oh Man....Capt HP the same thing happened to me and my whaler...MOOSEPIG'd the casing b/c the marina couldnt figure out how to fix it. I think they were lazy and way out of their league as far as whalers are concerned. they should stick to inflatables or something. try russo marine in Medford, mass. Ask for Paul Konkola (aka snow cap)

CaptHP,

You should have a Port and Starboard light on your model Outrage, not just one Bow light...

The originals were made by Wilox Crittenden and are no longer available.. Many of us 1980's Outrage owners would love to buy a set if these were still available.

I know of no other alternative except to replace the lights with a somewhat close resemblance like Perko..

The wires for your lights run through the Rub Rail. The first thing to check for is continuity of the wires which is a fairly simple thing to do. Then make sure you are getting power through the light switch and to the end of those wires.
