Anybody have any suggestions for cleaning up the plastic seats for a 22' Revenge. They appear to be the same as the ensign molded boat seat in West Marine catolog. They are discolored where the covers are not.

I've tried all kinds of cleaners that won't cut it. Would some form of acid work? Apparently it is a UV problem and similar to the dirty boat fenders that won't clean up.

Have you tried softscrub and a 3-M cleaning pad on this?

Soft scrub won't cut it. Instead of the tan smooth plastic, like underneath the snap on cushions, it has a grey oxidized look.

You may be able to bring it back by wet sanding with #2000 grit (or even lower), then using polish.
If the color is UV faded, that may not come back, but the surface will be smooth again.
