What do you do when the lower engine mounting bolts come out below where the splashwell connects to the transom? (older 16' 7" hull)

You use a setback or jack plate.

Thanks, JB.
E-mail address is current.
Any other ideas? Are the bottom bolts required?
(60 HP Johnson with power trim & tilt). It's only off about 1" - How about putting the bottom bolts at an angle?

My 1974 Montauk, the Phoenix, has been happy with Yamaha 90 mounted w/stailess lag screws for lower slot all these years. Now supporting Honda 90.

I had a 70 on mine and should be similar. Look for 2 threaded holes in the bracket that you can bolt into from the splashwell height! Just makes it! If the 70hp OMC's have it the 60 should?
