I need decals for my V20 OR and everyonr here speaks highly of Magic Brush in Florida. Does anyone know if they are still in business? The phone is disconnected and they haven't answered my e-mail. If they are not, does anybody have any other good sources?

I think you are totally wrong about Magic Brush. I have had the greatest of experiences with them with excellent knowledge of the boats and helpful suggestions. Mine is a '69 Eastport and the materials were exactly authentic. I doubt if Magic Brush is perfect, no one is. But also every problem usually is not completely one person's fault.

Finally, they are definitely still in business. Thank goodness.

They are still in business, just spoke with them and ordered decals. Current phone number is 386-736-1142. I'll update as to quality and service.

Not only have I been in business for 15+ years now, but have seldom heard of such a nasty way of speaking out loud of anyone.
As for your stripe Frank, it's backordered, as explained, and will be shipped asap. As for your order being correct, I sent you exactly what you ordered. I even sent you a repalcement order,... Maybe you ordered incorrectly. So, before casting stones, on a page that effects my business, make sure you don't live in a glass house. Respectfully,
Magic Brush

Re: the frank_king post. Considering my experience with you and your company, I was just about to jump to your defense. don't seem to need any help, your reply was every bit as quick and professional as your product and your service. I wouldn't worry much about that impacting your business.

Le'me say this, as Ah've said it before: Mrs. Draftsmanwife's decals have graced mah last three Whalers, purchased since 1995. In each case, the 20 bucks or so she charged me was by far and away the most benefit for the money any one of the three boats received in their refittin'. If you can't figure out what year and model is your boat, you might not know what t'order from her. In mah case, that weren't a problem.

Hooter, I like your style, usually right to the point with a bit of humor.

Give em hell Janis!!! You did a great job on my Montauk "BABY" at Pier 44. By the way, I think she is due for new stripes etc. Please give me a call or email. Mark

Well...I ordered on Tuesday, they arrived on Thursday morning, exactly what I ordered and they look great. I don't think you could improve on their quality or customer service, Janis was very accomodating and a pleasure to deal with.

You didn't by chance do some decals in red "Jarhead" for P&J Marine about a month ago?

Janis special ordered green vinyl in just for my Whaler logo and did a great job. My Montauk looks fine now. I highly recommend her work.

Is there a web site for Magic Brush? I am curious what decals are available as replacement to orignal Whaler decals. I am looking for decalls such as the one that surrounds the fuel vent and the one that warns not to drill into the floor above the fuel tank.

My 'Outrage 18' decals were perfect replacements - and - I'm reminded daily of her quality work with the Whaler pennant on the wall above my desk.

So this is the thread huh?

I have been inside Janis' shop and everything is state of the art and all decals are original font, etc. Whaler used funky letters and different fonts to throw off the competition. The ones you buy on E0-Bay look good but the ones Janis makes are Duplicates. If hers do not match yours, then yours are not original stuff.

Janis save that green for me and my Newtauk.
