Does the polyester resin kits work well for repairing nicks in the gelcoat? There is a kit at Boaters World that you can add color to and fix nicks and dents but I wanted to make sure this was the proper fix for the problem before I did it. Thanks

It's almost impossible to get a good color match adding pigments to generic patch material. I used the Spectrum Gelcoat Patch, a two part epoxy. The color match was nearly perfect. I could have made it better by adding a bit of white pigment, as the original gelcoat was a bit bleached. You tell them the year and model info, and they will give you the right color. Good luck.
