Evidently, I filled my Outrage 18 with a little too much gasoline... I noticed today/a week after I topped off the tank-gasoline has leaked out of the overflow valve onto the side of the boat. So, now I have a yellowish stain. I tried Meguires cleaner wax-no improvement. Any idea's?

HJBTry a citrus based cleaner, if that doesn't work try Meguiar's 4416 color restorer. Dick |

Soft Scrub w/Bleach works for me, although some here have said not to use it, due to dulling of the finish from abraisive cleaners. I have had no problem so far, but I don't rub it in, just kind of let it sit after applying, then wipe it down and rinse. |

What about straight clorox-sitting for a few minutes? I would hate to chance scratching the side of my boat even with a very lite application of soft scrub... |

Have you tried a little acetone on a rag and then flushing with water, followed by rewaxing the area? Do some searches, typing in acetone and you will get alot of posts regarding it's use. Do not leave the rag with acetone on any gelcoat surfaces, because prolonged exposure will damage the gelcoat. |

I have seen other postings recommending Meguiars 44. Is this the same thing as 4416? I have been all through the Meguiars web site and I can't find it. They have #2,5,7,9 but no 44 or 4416. Do they still make it? Have they perhaps changed the number. Thanks Frank
