I am adding a new throttle to a 13ft, that previously was tiller driven. I have added the wheel and new console, but have a little hesitation regarding the throttle. Is it difficult to run the throttle/gear shift cables? Is there any real science to it or is it pretty straight forward? Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated!

I don't think it's a big deal. Just make sure you have a sturdy place to mount the remotes and pretty much the cables take care of themselves. Just make sure they a long enough to allow the motor to turn both ways completely. You can round them up a bit with cable ties but they are stiff and tend to go where they a going to go.
