I bought a '79 20' Outrage several years ago and recently have found the paint job was hiding what might be some major hull defects. I had a hard day offshore the other day, noticed some longitudinal hairline cracks along the chines that wept water when I put the boat on the trailer. I don't have the equipment or expertise to raise T-top, console & deck to inspect and repair (replace fuel tank while I'm in there). The fairing along the chines looks a little uneven, so I suspect the boat may have been subject to major bottom work along the way. Unfortunately, I don't know the provenance of the boat, so I'm in the dark. It was an out-of-town purchase & I can't find the guy I bought it from. I like the boat, but don't want to throw unlimited money at the problem. Anyone down this way have any suggestions/recommendations?

The best place to locate a supplier of repair services is in the MARKETPLACE forum. If you are seeking to buy or sell goods or services related to Boston Whaler boats, that is the most appropriate place to post a notice.

Thanks for moving this matter to the MARKETPLACE forum.

Best regards,
