Okay, with all the talk about raising engines, Im gonna do it. Problem is my v6 outboard uses 6 mounting bolts. The two in the middle is a bolt that has no nut on the outside of transom. It threads directly into the engine bracket. These two middle bolts are in a fixed location and dont want to drill more holes. If I leave these two bolts off, will the remaining 4 bolts be enough?

My 150 Evinrude just has bolts in the upper holes and in the lower slots. It should be plenty- most of the force is on the uppers.
