After tapping the phenoleic material and bolting down things like trolling motors, have any of you ever had problems with the threads stripping?

Thanks!

I've never used phenolics on my boat but I use them a lot at work. I've never had problems with the threads stripping out as long as a the material is thick enough to hold 5+ threads.

The backing on your boat is not phenolic material, Jim.

Whaleboard(tm) is a composite material much stronger than phenolic. It will take and hold machine screw threads as well as aluminum.

Bolt on with confidence.
