Hi!
Any suggestions for any online resources for outboards and their repair and maintenance?
I'm the original owner of an '84 Super Sport 17 with an '83 Johnson 115.
We've had a Boston Whaler tied to the wharf since the 1970's, but I only found this site tonight!
Thanks......

Another choice is my favorite and actually has OMC/Bom employees answering questions is www.boatsetup.com It is hard to find the forums, but when you do, then click your favorites to save it.

www.boatdoctor.com

They have a free forum and if that does not work for an hourly charge or something they will walk you through the repair via telephone.

Thanks for the help, guys. I'll be back with more questions soon!
Had been thinking about selling to fund a bigger sailboat, but don't have the heart to do it!

hi,

try this...http://www.outboardrepairs.com/johnson/

there is also a forum for repairs as well. i believe that a member of this site is also a moderator for the repair section. there is a fellow there by the name of joe reeves. he knows what needs to be known about omc engines.

if you're going to do the work yourself you'll need a service manual. FACTORY SERVICE MANUAL is better i believe.
