I was cleaning the side of my 15 striper yesterday and i noticed alot of little yellow spots along the outside of my hull. What caused them and is it a problem? How do i get rid of them? The spots are about the size of a bb.
Thanks,
Whalerboy 14

Bee pollen poop or did you drive thru a wet yellow stripe on the road?

The spots are none of that stuff. They are under the gelcoat. Stop with the nonsense. I'm looking for help not crap.

Whalerboy

They are possibly just a case of gelcoat staining.

Try some FSR fiberglass stain remover, which is oxyalic acid in a gel form. Just brush it on, let it set awhile, and wash it off. Then rewax the area.

Good luck!!

Whalerboy14,

jstachowiak didn't deserve that. Based on your first post the yellow paint was a good guess. You didn't explain that the spots were under the gel coat until your second post. Your first post suggests that they were;

along the outside of my hull

Levity comes along with much of the good advice on this site. Try to be a little more patient and civil with us and you might get an answer to your question.

sorry for the rude comments. I am frustrated with the spots. I have used all kinds of cleaners and I even tried to buff them out. they are little bumps and some of them have little cracks on them. I will be more patient from now on.
thanks,

No problem...We all tend to get a little emotional about our boats!

Do they look like little blisters? If so go to the search engine on the front page of Continuouswave and search for blistering. You'll find much discussion of this subject.

Good Luck
Bill
