Finally got that 11 I've been looking for! Now for the fun! I'm thinking of putting in a center console a la Spruce Creek Navy. I was thinking of maybe installing one tall enough to allow the operator to stand while SLOWLY cruising the shallows to get a better view down. Thoughts?

Also, as I tow this boat behind my Bertram, it takes a little (read this a BIG) beating crossing to the Bahamas in rough water. I have a problem with screws backing out or even just pulling out altogether! Any mounting ideas to help here.... maybe through bolt the console???

Hey the 11' is a little bit to small. It needs to be a bit more stable like a 13' you could try it but you would end up puting it back to the way it is.Its like putting a center console on a diny. Do it if you want. But I dont recemmend it.

You would be better off turning it into a supersport with a bench and a backrest. With the console it will not be stable and you will have very little room. Just my 2 cents

I would put a very small center console on it. If you want to drive slowly standing up you could hunch over a tad, etc. Do NOT through bolt it, use 3M 5200 on the screws and let them set for a week. If the console on my 17 never broke lose, neither will yours.....trust me I hit a piling at 20mph head on.

A small center console with swivel seat adds greatly to driver comfort in an eleven footer... gets the knees out of chest! Standing while underway requires some common sense and wearing that kill switch lanyard is a must for safety. I fitted my center console eleven with a sturdy ss grab rail and also used side rails as hand grips in tight turns (see Cetacea page 28). Happy Whalin',,, Clark.. SCN

Capngeo, Maybe as a solution, I have a fairly stripped console from a whaler rage. I'm thinking of putting it in a 14' alum for my son, but still undecided. My email address has changed to mailforchris@earthlink.net goodluck

If you do it, please let me know what it cost you.

I've thought of putting a Center Console on my 11-Sport, but never did because did not think the boat was worth the money and labor it would take.

I'd love to change it in to a "CC" so I could stand up in ruff water.

If I did I'd like to make if taller then Clark Roberts, I'd want to stand up strait and drive.
