posted 10-11-2003 07:15 AM ET (US)         my whaler had a Humminbird Platinimum ID600 which just lost it's LCD screen. These are no longer stocked by manufacturer. I just installed a Humminbird Matrix 10 which has an attachment for speed sensor but no adaptor to old ID600. Does anyone know if the old speed wheel sensor will serve if I wire an adapter. Does the sensor just give a magnetic pulse signal or are special characteristics of the signal involved? Many thanks for any info on this matter or even on where to look. Humminbird customer service can only advise on buying a matrix sensor, but they probably would best like to sell. mikeo
