Wayneman	posted 10-23-2003 11:13 AM ET (US)         Hello all. I've had the above motor's 2 carbs rebuilt by a reputable service center. The engine runs absolutely perfect above a certain rpm but runs rougher at low rpm and at idle. What adjustment can I make if any to lean/rich it out? Thanks!
Bigshot	posted 10-23-2003 11:45 AM ET (US)             Probably needs a carb synch. There are no idle adjustments, you close the butterflies equally so they synchronize. You need to do it in gear tied to a dock, hence why most carb rebuilds do not get "setup" right being boat is on trailer. Plus those old 2cyls do not idle very smooth to begin with.

sargerator	posted 10-24-2003 11:35 AM ET (US)             W, You check comp? IF they're off by very much won't idle smooth (relatively speaking for a 2 cycle) at low RPM's but will smooth out more at higher RPM's. Sarge
