Well as much as I fight it the reality is winter is upon us here in Maine (maybe 1-2 trips). I am looking for advise on winterizing the motor. Last year I fogged the carbs and stabilized the gas and all turned out ok. I was lloking at a local dealer and all the boats put up had the lower units taken off. Is that somthing that I should do (with help) or am I all set? any other ideas would be very welcome. thanks Brendan

There is no need to remove the lower unit for winter storage. Do check the lube and if it is milky drain it and leave the plugs out.
Stabilize the fuel and fog the engine as you did last year.

After you have done this think about a short winter and an early spring.
