The OEM rod holders on Boston Whaler boats were made by Lee's of Miami.

Lee's are generally considered to be on the high end of quality. Unfortunately, you must pay for that. Pretty much any rod holder that you will find at Boater's World will work but the cheapies will definitely not last as long. Don't waste your money on the plastic ones...unless you don't mind losing your rod and reel too.

If you want to clamp them on your railings, perko makes nice chrome rail mount rod holders. Boaters World or West Marine sells them for $25 or $30 each. I have 8 on my Montauk rails. Brian

I have used Scotty's on the rails of my 13 footer.

Did your whaler go trick or treating as a porcupine?

I followed the advice given to me on this board and bought a pair of Lee's for my Nauset. They look great and are very functional. I'm glad I spent the extra money - my boat is in very good condition and I plan on keeping it a very long time.
