I found the folks at Atlantic Towers to be very helpful. They also build a quality product at a reasonable price. Check this site out:

Eric-
I had a 22 Outrage that I kept in the Mhd area, and I had a top notch T-top made for it right there in town (about 5yrs ago). I cant remember the name of the guy that did the design/welding/installation of it,but he was located down in Graves lower yard, where Marblehead Trading is located. Go in between the two main buildings, heading into the back lot and he is in the building on the left. I remember him charging approx.$1800 including all the wiring runs, the electronic box,and full installation. The only thing I had to pay extra for was the actual canvas on the T (approx $400).The only thing I wasnt totally happy about was the width of the top,it didnt extend as far out to the gunnels as I wouldve preferred, but that was pretty minor though. His welding was excellent and he let me leave the boat for several weeks there in the yard. All in all a good experience...I will try to dig up his name and either post it here or email it to you.I think you will find he is still there though.......

I've been looking at the T-Top offered by Boater's World and other retailers made by Canvas Creations. It is made out of Stainless Steel hardware. For $600, it is still not cheap but it is far cheaper than any custom top I have found. I don't know how well it will hold up with radar installed on top and this is my dilemma. I don't think it will work for mounting outriggers but mine are already mounted in my gunnels. Rocket launchers...this is my other dilemma...

The top is adjustable to work with most consoles and has 4 mounting points to the floor and 2 more to the console. If need be, standard railing hardware could be employed for more attaching points. They have 2 sizes available, but both only come in one color. You might want to look at this product.

I called the manufacturer of one of the T-tops in a boating catalog. They said the maximum speed to which the product could be subjected, either on the water or being trailered, was 40 mph. You may want to check on that issue if ordering a catalog item. Mike

U-haul limits the speed of their trailers to 45 mph. We all know thay can handle much higher speeds...

They probably state this to limit claims against torn canvas...I doubt that the top could offer much lift in the form of an airfoil.
