Hi,I am trying to order a replacement console rail for my 1974 Katama from CMI. CMI requires a part number for this rail and I don't know what it is. Does anyone happen to know this part number? Thanks Richard

Greg,Good luck. I emailed Chuck Bennett at Boston Whaler and he sent me the part numbers for those rail parts. I contacted CMI about that rail 1 year ago and they told me that they didn't have the drawings for that rail assembly. So, I took the boat to a local outfitter and had a rail made. The guys at CMI told me that Whaler gave CMI a big stack of paper which was the drawings from the older whalers. If CMI doesn't have the rail drawings, nobody does. Sorry, but I don't have the part numbers any more. I couldn't find any reason to hang onto them if the drawings were no longer available. - ron

I don't have the part number, but I do have the rail. Changed my 69' Katama to an Eastport. What is it worth? |

I have some stainless steel rail from an old Newport console. I have the section that surrounds the windshield and a grab rail that attaches to the front of the console. I am not sure if the Katama and Newport used the same console or not. If I remember correctly, they are similar in design. Jeff |

Jeff,Please go to http://www.elbrasil.com/jpgfiles/katamarail.jpg and see if this is the rail that you have. The console is 45 inches wide and a vinyl windscreen snaps to it. Thanks Richard |
