Nedmack	posted 12-06-2003 10:05 AM ET (US)         What was the original thickness of the under gunwhale rod holders on the mid 80's Outrages? I have a 1985 18 Outrage that I am going to make rod holders for. Thanks.
dscew	posted 12-06-2003 10:56 AM ET (US)          The thickness was 3/4" plywood. If you can get it, use the 13 ply marine plywood, it's stronger than 9 ply, especailly for rod holders, where there's not alot of width to provide the strength. Or contact Shrimpburrito on this site. Sounds like they're doing some nice work, reliably and with high quality.
