Author	Topic:   Four Stroke on a Revenge 21 ?
straightline51	posted 01-09-2004 10:53 AM ET (US)         Just bought a used revenge 21' year 1979. I need to repower it, and thinking four stroke. Any advise here, my only concern is the weight of a four stroke. I also heard I need to use a 20" shaft. Has anyone had success using a 25" shaft on the boat or is that just too long. First time post, I am a new member to forum.

JayR	posted 01-09-2004 11:08 AM ET (US)             BTW.... welcome! I have the Outrage model, 1971. I too am repowering.... A friend has a Honda 200 hp on his. So I would think you'll have no problem. I am going with the Suzuki 140 4 stroke.

lhg	posted 01-18-2004 06:46 PM ET (US)          Recommend you contact Clark Roberts here, who has a Merc 115 4-stroke on his 21 Revenge, and seems to like it. I think about a year ago Clark gave us a report on this engine, as compared to it's previous Merc 135 Optimax power. Try searching that thread out. I would think the transom on that boat could easily handle 500# engine weight.
