I recently received some great blue samples from the company in Florida that makes Durabek. How much do you think I will need to redo my interior of my 1964 Nauset? |

Probably two gallons. I used one gallon for two coats inside my 13' open whaler. Great stuff! Follow their directions. |

2 gallons huh? The folks in Florida neglected to tell me how much the stuff was but I'm glad to hear it is good. |

Does Ultratuff come in a light blue or aqua color suitable for the old whaler interiors? |

Incidently, I spoke to a nice guy at Durabek who quoted about $150 per gallon which is not exactly cheap and I will probably need 2. |

Ultra tuff I believe has the blue It is $50/gallon and the primer is $13/qt. 1 qt primer per 1 gallon ultratuff. The ultra tuff covers approx. 50ft. sq. per gallon. I ordered 3 gallons for my 13, but that will be more than I need and it lasts over a year in the can, so if I mess up, I'll have extra. This stuff is cheaper than the durabek and is used on marine decks and a lot of the water parks. I figured if they use it at the waterparks and will all the wet foot traffic, it has to be good! |

To save some money, you might use the gray color as your base and use a good marine grade enamel over it in whatever color you want. By doing that, the roughness of the rubber particles will be filled with paint to some degree. There's quite a bit of difference in $$$ between the gray and the other colors. |

The guy at Durabek claims a gallon is good for 90 sq ft. |
