Folks, I recently bought a 1964 Eastport. Neither the Center console seat or the church pew were installed but were included in the sale. I think i can figure out how to mount the center console thwart, but as for the church pew, are there any special tricks? It appears to come with a wooden support piece but I cannot find any coresponding hole or mounting pieces on the floor of the boat. Does it just mount to the pew and rest unsecured on the floor of the boat or is there a piece I am missing?

Check the drawings here and see if you are missing anything...

The legs of the church pew get fastened to two mahogany blocks that are screwed to the deck into the embedded wood. The embedded wood diagram can be found in the reference section of this site under the 16-17 foot hull dimensions and history. I'll send you a photo of the seats in my Eastport so you can see how they're fastened.
