Liteamorn	posted 04-01-2004 05:41 PM ET (US)         Does anyone have an electronics box atop there consoles on their Montauks? I just got a 1998 and the top of the console has nary a screw hole in the top, is there a box that would mount on it? Does anyone have one? Could I see a pic? Last but not least where is a good place to find one?
hooter	posted 04-01-2004 05:52 PM ET (US)          Sounds like you've found the rarest of all things Whaler, a virgin console lid. Personally, Ah've never seen one, because the foist thing all fishermen and most boaters generally do is start screwin' gadgets and toys onto their new boat, to "make it their own", you know. That said, Whaler never sold an electronics box for the top of their standard console, which is what you've likely got on a Montauk. Yes, they did offer one for the "Super Console" but that's not something you'll ever see on a Montauk.
